Probing Velocity Structures of Protostellar Envelopes: Infalling and Rotating Envelopes within Turbulent Dense Cores

چکیده

Abstract We have observed the three low-mass protostars, IRAS 15398−3359, L1527 IRS, and TMC-1A, with ALMA 12 m array, ACA 7 IRAM-30 APEX telescopes in C 18 O J = 2–1 emission. Overall, emission shows clear velocity gradients at radii of ∼100–1000 au, which likely originate from rotation envelopes, while are less structures more perturbed on scales ∼1000–10,000 au. 15398−3359 IRS show a break ∼1200 ∼1700 au radial profile peak velocity, respectively. The is proportional to r −1.38 or −1.7 within radius, can be interpreted as indicating rotational motion envelope degree contamination by gas motions larger spatial scales. follows v ∝ 0.68 0.46 outside similar / M – R relation dense cores. TMC-1A exhibits that not consistent nor relation. origin investigated examining correlations deviation ( δ ) scale τ two sources. obtained correlations, ∼0.6 , scaling law predicted turbulence models, may suggest large-scale turbulence.

HDO emission from low - mass protostellar envelopes

We present theoretical predictions of the rotational line emission of deuterated water in low-mass protostar collapsing envelopes. The model accounts for the density and temperature structure of the envelope, according the inside-out collapse framework. The deuterated water abundance profile is approximated by a step function, with a low value in the cold outer envelope and a higher value in th...

Molecular inventories and chemical evolution of low - mass protostellar envelopes

This paper presents the first substantial study of the chemistry of the envelopes around a sample of 18 low-mass preand protostellar objects for which physical properties have previously been derived from radiative transfer modeling of their dust continuum emission. Single-dish line observations of 24 transitions of 9 molecular species (not counting isotopes) including HCO, N2H , CS, SO, SO2, H...

Physical structure and CO abundance of low - mass protostellar envelopes

We present 1D radiative transfer modelling of the envelopes of a sample of 18 low-mass protostars and pre-stellar cores with the aim of setting up realistic physical models, for use in a chemical description of the sources. The density and temperature profiles of the envelopes are constrained from their radial profiles obtained from SCUBA maps at 450 and 850 µm and from measurements of the sour...

Turbulence in Class 0 and Class I protostellar envelopes

We estimate the levels of turbulence in the envelopes of Class 0 and I protostars using a model based on measurements of the peak separation of double-peaked asymmetric line profiles. We use observations of 20 protostars of both Class 0 & I taken in the HCO(J=3→2) line that show the classic double-peaked profile. We find that some Class 0 sources show high levels of turbulence whilst others dem...

Alignment between Flattened Protostellar Infall Envelopes and Ambient Magnetic Fields

We present 350 μm polarization observations of four low-mass cores containing Class 0 protostars: L483, L1157, L1448-IRS2, and Serp-FIR1. This is the second paper in a larger survey aimed at testing magnetically regulated models for core-collapse. One key prediction of these models is that the mean magnetic field in a core should be aligned with the symmetry axis (minor axis) of the flattened Y...
